There’s good news for Manchester United and Chicharito fans. The Red Devils now possess the Mexican striker’s signature for at least five more years.
Alex Ferguson has been working on new deals lately to secure Manchester United’s new generation inspired by young players. As agent Eduardo Hernandez explained according to Goal.com, Chicharito has added his name to the new contract list which already includes Tom Cleverly and Danny Welbeck.

“We have renegotiated Javier's contract and he is now committed for five years with Manchester United,” Eduardo Hernandez was quoted as saying as he buried the incredible rumor of a Barcelona move for the player.

“The initial contract was good for Manchester and for Javier because it enabled them both to see if they could fit together and if he could achieve what was expected of him. Both sides have met their expectations and United were happy to reward Javier after his very good performances last season.”

Javier Hernandez didn’t take long to adapt to Manchester United’s play following his transfer from Chivas. He scored on his debut for the Red Devils in the 2010 Community Shield against Chelsea and went on to hit a total of 20 goals in 45 matches—many of which featured him as a substitute. Pursuing his statement, agent Eduardo Hernandez explained:

“It was never likely that Javier would leave. Talks began some time ago and [Manchester] United came up with a very good offer and I have nothing but praise for the way they have recognized Javier's performances.

“I will not talk about numbers, but it is a five-year contract. It is a fixed salary with incentives based on the team's success in each of the different tournaments.

“Javier was not badly paid with his initial contract, but it was his first contract and, with respect, not comparable with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Nani. But today I can say that the contract has just been signed and everyone is satisfied.”

This news is set to make Mexicans proud. Meanwhile, Manchester United supporters will welcome it with open arms as they await this weekend's fixture against Liverpool.
