Zinedine Zidane may be forced to call up more players from Real Madrid Castilla to complete his squad ahead of Sunday's big clash.

If Real Madrid can keep up their pulse for La Liga with Atlético and Barcelona with such a depleted squad, Zinedine Zidane would deserve an extra medal for handling his team under such complicated circumstances.

Earlier today, Los Blancos issued a fitness report regarding one of their first-team players. The player in question will not be available to make the trip to face Getafe, and this new setback will surely give Zidane a few more headaches.

The man in question is none other than Ferland Mendy, who was diagnosed with a muscular problem to his left thigh, which will keep him out of the pitch for the next ten days. Hence, the French left back could be out for the next four games, including the first leg of the UEFA Champions League tie against Chelsea.

Mendy's injury has forced Zidane to come up with a match squad composed of 16 players, with three of those being goalkeepers. In fact, the team's defense could feature Victor Chust, one of Real Madrid Castilla's players, as a starter.

To make matters worse, Zidane may also need to rest Karim Benzema for a few minutes after the knock he picked up courtesy of James Milner at Anfield, giving Mariano Dúaz a chance to start the clash.

Here's Real Madrid's squad for Sunday's clash.
