The channel will distribute content by MUTV in 30 African countries, making it the biggest deal of its kind for the Red Devils.

Manchester United has signed a deal that will take their brand closer to their African fans, as the team's club TV channel will be available across the continent on linear TV and OTT platforms thanks to their new agreement with StarTimes.

The network, with over 12 million subscribers to its linear TV service and 20 million more on its digital platforms, will distribute MUTV's content in countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana, where users will be able to follow the channel 24 hours a day.

Some of the content that will be available includes live first team and Academy games, press conferences, player interviews, documentaries, and more, all of which have made the channel one of the top club networks in the world.

"We are proud to have hundreds of millions of passionate fans in Africa and this long-term agreement will allow them to get closer to the club through MUTV's exclusive, round-the-clock content from Old Trafford and the AON Training Complex," Phil Lynch, Manchester United's Chief Executive of Media stated.

StarTimes' Sports Deputy Director Kristen Miao also celebrated the agreement with the laureated English club.

"Manchester United is one of the most iconic football clubs in the world. We are delighted to share MUTV with football fans across Africa as part as our commitment to enhancing our subscribers' experience," she stated.
