Los Blancos seem determined to win La Liga this season, and they could be off to a good start at home in 2020 against their next rival.

The first game of the year at the Bernabeu for Real Madrid may seem quite complicated, but history can show us that it's not the case.

The game between Real Madrid and Sevilla is seen by many as one of the toughest in the calendar for Los Blancos, but history tells us that the Andalucian side has been slammed around by the Spanish capital giants in thirteen of their fourteen recent trips to the Bernabeu.

In fact, as these numbers will show, Sevilla has only been able to score five goals in their last six visits, with three of those coming in the same game. On the other hand, Real Madrid has found the back of the net a whopping 24 times. Needless to say, Real Madrid has won six in a row when hosting Sevilla in La Liga games.

Sevilla has failed to win a single game at the Bernabeu since December 2008, when  Los Hispalenses took home a 4-3 win against Los Merengues. It's been quite a while for the team coached by Lopetegui, and maybe with him at the helm, he could have the key to end that hoodoo at the place he called "home" just over a year ago.
