The Three Lions boss could be tempted to leave the national side for one of England's biggest clubs.

Gareth Southgate is currently the coach of the England national team and is gearing up for the upcoming Euro 2020 campaign. However, according to the Sun, the gaffer could leave that position after the summer for club football.

The British tabloid claims that none other than Man United could attempt to tempt the three Lions boss into leaving the national side for Old Trafford once the European Championship wraps up. Of course, this is if they decide to sack current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian boss continues to struggle at Old Trafford, with the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa being the latest slip up. With only 18 points so far this term, Man United are sitting in 10th spot and look likely to miss out on a top-four finish.

There are claims Ole might get the sack should they fail to beat Tottenham but that would rule out a move for Southgate, as he is unlikely to leave England before Euro 2020. Mauricio Pochettino is another candidate, one who is available right now.

The Argentine, who has long been linked with the Red Devils, was sacked by Spurs and is thus a free agent. Whether he would take the job at Man United remains unknown – he could wait until the summer to see if other European giants come calling.
