The representative of the Sporting CP midfielder is in town to facilitate his potential switch to the Premier League.

The agent of Sporting CP skipper Bruno Fernandes is reportedly en route to England to negotiate terms for the midfielder ahead of a potential move to Manchester United. The 24-year-old has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer and a move away from the Portuguese Primeira is believed to be close.

Fernandes attracted interest from a host of top European clubs having scored 32 goals in 53 appearances from midfield for Sporting. The Lions' captain also played an instrumental role in Portugal's triumphant UEFA Nations League campaign.

The likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are all believed to be keen on the midfielder signing but Manchester United have reportedly emerged as clear favorites to land the player. Recent reports from Portugal suggests that the Red Devils have already reached a verbal agreement with Fernandes over the move and look set to negotiate the fee with Sporting.

According to Nicolò Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Sampdoria star's agent, Miguel Pinho, is due to arrive in England on Wednesday evening to finalise the discussion of personal terms with Manchester United.

As per multiple reports from England, the Old Trafford outfit would subsequently meet Sporting's €60 million (£53m) valuation of the midfielder should the talks with his agent be successful.
