The Blaugrana side has clarified their transfer situation ahead of July 1, the deadline set to balance all financial statements with UEFA.

In order to buy new players, Barcelona needed to sell some of their assets before. Today, transfer activity has begun for the Blaugrana side, as one of their most reliable backups has ended his stint at Camp Nou.

Earlier today, reports by Spanish newspapers hinted that Dutch international Jasper Cillessen was set to undergo a medical examination to join Valencia. Moments ago, both parties have announced that the 30-year-old shot-stopper will join Los Naranjeros for the next two years.

The club revealed the news to its fans on their Twitter feed in curious fashion...and in Dutch language.

Details of the deal are yet to be made public, but sources consulted by As revealed that part of the payment will involve Brazilian goalkeeper Neto. 

This may not be the only move between Valencia and Barcelona, as Denis Suárez and Rafinha have also been named as transfer targets for Los Naranjeros.

Cillessen joins Valencia after playing just 32 games with the Catalan giants. His good performances under the sticks cemented his spot with the Dutch National Team, and those outings will surely come in handy for the Spanish club's return to the UEFA Champions League next season.
