Bayern's Sporting Director admitted that the Frenchman lost his temper after the team's 3-2 loss against Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern München lost a close 3-2 game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening, but one of their footballers also lost the plot.

Witnesses after the game stated that Franck Ribery had a physical altercation with journalist Patrick Guillou, who appeared to blame Ribery for his involvement in two of Borussia Dortmund's goals. Apparently Ribery did not like this line of questioning, so he found it right to slap Guillou's face three times.

Speaking in an improvised presser, Bayern's Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic revealed that Ribery came up to tell the club about the altercation, and now they will try to solve this matter internally after a meeting with Guillou himself.

"Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his compatriot Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years," Salihamidzic said.

"We agreed with Patrick Guillou that we would speak at a personal meeting, we will talk about how we can solve the matter, and Mr Guillou has already signaled that it is in his interest," the Bosnian exec added.

This matter comes as yet one more disciplinary issue to deal with for Bayern in the months since Niko Kovac has been in charge of the team. Thomas Müller, James Rodríguez and now Ribery are some of the footballers who have gotten in trouble since the Croatian boss was appointed.

Timing couldn't have been worse for the club's execs, as Kovac's leadership has been questioned by fans and former players. With Die Roten sitting seven points behind Borussia Dortmund, it seems like any disciplinary action will be handled by the team's board. If that happens, Kovac might as well start preparing his bags after a slow beginning of the season for his men, who have given more gossip material to the tabloids than ever.
