13:08 EST/18:08 GMT/19:08
CET: The FIFPro XI is just about to be announced by the legendary ex-Dutch international, Marco van Basten...

Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas! That's right... the 2010 World Cup winner.

Defenders: Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Lucio and Maicon! Just the public's opinion, there...

Now, the midfield:

Xavi! Iniesta! Sneijder! Now we're talking about Wesley Sneijder, huh!

Forwards, now:

Cristiano Ronaldo! David Villa! Lionel Messi!

There we go, FIFPro's Best XI is complete! In general, we can say that there has been no surprise or shock in terms of its choices.

FIFPro XI nominee Gerard Pique speaks:

"One of the most important things is the atmosphere in the dressing room. You can see the relationship that we have when we play and I think that's very important for a team to win titles."

FIFPro XI nominee Wesley Sneijder speaks:

"I think definitely the wedding of my beautiful wife was the most important moment. But oh, in football? To win the Champions League is a dream. For me it was an amazing year.

"It can be better, but we went for it because I want to win the World Cup. It was a pleasure to work with Jose Mourinho and I want to tell him this on stage: I think that he's the best coach in the world, thank you."

And the best coach in the world will be revealed later on... Thanks Sneijder for sharing your opinion, though!

13:15 EST/18:15 GMT/19:15 CET: Pedro Pinto (CNN Journalist) as always is doing a great job as he presents the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala from Zurich, Switzerland.

And now, inevitable choice for the FIFA Fair Play Award: it has gone to Haiti U-17 Women's team! Remember that they lost their coach through the horrible earthquake that hit Haiti. This victory will be celebrated for all Haitians that need comfort.

13:24 EST/18:24 GMT/19:24 CET: Time for the coaches' awards...

And the FIFA Women's Coach of the Year is Silvia Neid of Germany!

Now, men's turn... JOSE MOURINHO has won it! He has won the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Award and surely, his treble achievement speaks for itself!

13:27 EST/18:27 GMT/19:27 CET: Next up is for the FIFA Presidential Award.

And the winner of the FIFA Presidential Award is... Archbishop DESMOND TUTU! And typically, he jokes again as he expresses his gratitude for having won such a prestigious trophy. Does anyone remember Desmond Tutu dancing on June 10, 2010 as South Africa had a party before the 2010 World Cup kicked off the day after?

Archbishop Desmond Tutu speaks:

"I want to pay a very warm tribute to you (Sepp Blatter). If I could give you an award I would. I want to commend you for your passion for Africa in hosting the World Cup. I receive this award representatively on behalf of our wonderful people, the people of South Africa.

"I want to congratulate Danny Jordaan and the others, the team who were responsible for the organisation... Our government, who excelled themselves... Bafana Bafana, who did more than we expected, and we may even win the FIFA - what do you call it, the goal... Ah, yes! the Puskas award. I should really have brought my Vuvuzela!"

13:36 EST/18:36 GMT/19:36 CET: The FIFA Puskas Award, previously won by Cristiano Ronaldo for his amazing goal against Porto in the Champions League. Who will be the 2nd ever player to become the FIFA Puskas Award winner?

And the name of the winner is... HAMIT ALTINTOP from Turkey! Check out the goal that won him the FIFA Puskas Award. See below:

13:40 EST/18:40 GMT/19:40 CET: A bit of music now... Let's take the chance to have a deep breath... anxiety is yet to reach its peak... I'm thinking about the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2010 nomination!

13:45 EST/18:45 GMT/19:45 CET: But now, get ready for the women's player of the year award. Remember that Brazil's Marta has won the 4 previous editions of this award... Can she make it a record #5? Let's see if she can...

MARTA has DONE IT... AGAIN! Astonishing. I guess we can definitely say that football has a Pele in women's football and that is no-one else but Marta. Congratulations to the lady, she is the FIFA Women's Player of the Year Award winner!

13:51 EST/18:51 GMT/19:45 CET: THE moment!

The FIFA Ballon d'Or 2010 winner...The FIFA Ballon d'Or winner is Lionel Messi from Argentina and Barcelona. who will that be between Messi, Xavi and Iniesta? I bet Xavi, but let's see who wins it. My personal pick is Lionel Messi... and who else but Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to announce the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2010 winner?

13:57 EST/18:57 GMT/19:57 CET: International captain, coaches and journalists have voted and the man with the most votes is... LIONEL MESSI!!!

He deserves it after all the goals he scored and for his amazing dribbling skills. Lionel Messi has managed to hold on to his World Player of the Year award. Xavi and Iniesta could have as well won the FIFA Ballon d'Or award. But it had to go to Lionel Messi once again. Congratulations to La Pulga!

All the other award winners have joined him on the stage as the FIFA Ballon d'Or Award Ceremony is coming to a close.

14:00 EST/19:00 GMT/20:00 CET: And on that note, we terminate the live coverage of the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala on Live Soccer TV! Congratulations to all our winners tonight. And to all our viewers, we say: thank you for sticking with Live Soccer TV throughout 1 hour of drama and entertainment! Have a wonderful evening! For us, it's goodbye!
