The Spanish defender will return to action after serving a one-match ban against Málaga before the team's trip to Abu Dhabi.

Real Madrid's captain Sergio Ramos knows that keeping any hopes of winning the La Liga title alive will be determined by their ability to beat Barcelona next weekend.

Speaking at a promotional event, the Spanish center back admitted that the team's momentum changed with their Club World Cup victory last week, and with that in mind, the team will get to this game on a high.

"Winning that title was good for us. By putting up a little more effort,, we have to win three crucial points to cut the gap between us and those teams ahead in the title race," Ramos stated.

Ramos anticipated that, with Real Madrid in need of three points, and with Barcelona eager to broaden the gap between them, this Clásico could be one of the most exciting in recent memory.

"It will be a massive game. There are no words that can describe a game such as this one. We need to win so we can keep our chances of winning La Liga intact. It's a one-of-a-kind match, and we get to it in high spirits," Ramos added.

Real Madrid won the two most recent games against Barcelona to claim the Spanish Super Cup title. Nevertheless, Los Blaugranas took all the points home in their last league meeting with a last-gasp goal by Lionel Messi. Sergio Ramos was sent off during that game.
