The Chilean ace has only a year remaining on his contract, with Man City and PSG eager to lure him away from the Emirates.

The roller coaster ride that is Alexis Sanchez’s future continues despite the player’s inevitable return to the Emirates. The Chilean ace is due back in north London for the upcoming Emirates Cup after being given an extended holiday due to the Confederations Cup, but fans should not be celebrating just yet.

Le Prof has publicly stated on a number of occasions that the South American striker will remain with the Gunners despite the lack of Champions League football and there being interest from PSG and Man City.

Alexis is yet to return to Arsenal, claiming to be sick on social media. Nonetheless, him rejoining the FA Cup winners won’t mean the end of his exit rumors. In fact, according to the Mirror, a move away from the Emirates remains the player’s wish.

However, the player is in disagreement with his agent. Alexis wishes to leave this summer, with his preference being reuniting with Pep Guardiola.

Fernando Felicevich, the man who represents the 28-year-old, believes his client should stay in London for the upcoming season. The agent’s belief is that Sanchez will receive better terms should he leave as a free agent next summer, as his next club won’t have to spend millions to lure him away from Arsenal.

According to that report, the Citizens are ready to make Alexis their highest-paid player, overtaking the £220k-a-week package Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure are on.
