As La Liga giants Real Madrid went to the break with a 2-0 lead against Real Sociedad on Saturday, one name stuck on the tongues of Madridistas – Marco Asensio. The Spaniard has been impressive for Los Blancos since returning at the Santiago Bernabeu outfit from Espanyol, where he had spent the whole of last season on loan. And the 20-year-old showed his employers exactly what they were missing last season.
According to Squawka, the former Mallorca man completed 100% of his passes in the first 20 minutes of the first half. That explains why coach Zinedine Zidane prefers him to James Rodriguez at midfield, a situation that has sparked exit rumors for the Colombian this transfer season.
Asensio is naturally made to be a future star at the Santiago Bernabeu, not forgetting his brilliant creativity and pace, which was evident in his goal for Los Blancos against the Royals. Watch it below.

He also scored a 25-meter wonder goal in Real Madrid’s 3-2 win over Sevilla two weeks ago in the UEFA Super Cup and now, he has scored on his La Liga debut against Real Sociedad. That makes it a total of two goals in two competitive games for the European giants, not forgetting his impressive display during their pre-season tour.
And the highly-rated midfielder is already winning the hearts of Real Madrid fans. Check out the following tweets praising his performance for the Spanish giants.

Asensio a special player, phenomenal talent. Lots of mobility across forward line. Has the potential to be one of the best in his position.
