Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano is in the talks for a three-year agreement with the Italian side Juventus.

Barca fans might begin to worry, as the future of their 'Jefecito' has become shaky with the Catalans. The Argentine has put an agreement in place with the Serie A club to join them this summer.

Mascherano could potentially pen a three-year deal with Juve and would see a considerable raise in wages compared to the one he currently earns as a Blaugrana.

The former Liverpool man has been looking for a move out of the Camp Nou, as it could be the last big contract of his football career. However, for now, the agreement is solely between the player and Juventus with the clubs still needing to negotiate.

According to Barcelona-based daily Sport, FC Barcelona has no intention of selling their world-class defender, who has been a vital part of Luis Enrique's squad.

Throughout his career with the Barca shirt, the Catalan player has appeared in 281 official matches, securing major trophies with his side. However, if the Argentina international does decide to ditch the Camp Nou, he will be the only player on the team who has not scored a goal for Barcelona.
