James Rodriguez will play his first game with Colombia since getting injured in September. Chile has not dropped a point in the first two games.

James Rodriguez is back and with it, the hopes of Colombia to get back to their winning ways. The cafeteros won their opening game against Peru but suffered a tough loss against Uruguay. Now they face a team that is leading CONMEBOL after two games, Chile, that wants to continue growing game after game.

Colombia will not count with Juan Cuadrado for this game as the midfielder was sent off in the 0-3 loss against Uruguay. The Chelsea player will not be able to face his team against the Copa America champions, but will be back by the time Colombia plays Argentina, the runner-ups of the continental tournament just a few days later.

Someone that has been kind of a ghost but still a key player for Colombia is Radamel Falcao. The former star with AS Monaco has not been as lethal ever since missing the 2014 World Cup with an injury. His role as the star of the team was taken by James Rodriguez, who won the Golden Boot in the tournament that Brazil hosted.

Chile is a team that has shown straight off the bat who the best team in Conmebol is lately. While Argentina leads in the FIFA rankings, there is no team stronger than La Roja in South American soccer right now. They have the strongest offensive line after 180 minutes. The team has scored six goals with Alexis Sanchez having three of them under his name.

The Chilean side started the qualifiers towards Russia 2018 with high expectations after winning their first continental title in 99 years against Argentina. Having been knocked out of the 2014 World Cup by Brazil, they have stood their ground with a 2-0 win against Brazil and 4-3 victory facing Perú.

In the last 12 games against each other, Colombia has won five and Chile only four. The other three games ended in a draw. In three of the last five games it was Chile who came out on top. These two teams put up a great show almost every time they meet and in this next game at Santiago, that shouldn't be the exception.
