Giovinco scored 22 goals in 33 games. Drogba's brace against Toronto FC got him to 11 goals in 11 games.

With 32 goals in 33 games played, Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco won the Major League Soccer Golden Boot. The Italian striker may have won the first of what could be many awards in an epic season for him and for his new team.

One of Giovinco's most memorable moments came just a few days ago when just a few hours after playing with Italy, he came into the game with Toronto and scored the goal that has his team in the MLS Playoffs for the first time in franchise history. If Toronto fans did not love him by then, they do since that day.

Not only is the 28-year-old player the leader in goals, but he also leads the assists department. 16 of the goals that his team has scored have come from a pass made by Giovinco. While there have been many big names coming into the MLS as Designated Players, Giovinco may have been the most effective signing of all.

Breaking records like its no big deal

Toronto FC finished the 2015 regular season with 49 points after 34 games. They were able to clinch the sixth and final spot of the conference. Teams like Orlando SC and New York City FC where Kaká and Andrea Pirlo play are officially in vacation from this moment and until the beginning of next season.

The MLS Commissioner congratulated the Italian striker

Another striker that is slowly but steadily making an impact in the MLS is Didier Drogba. The former Chelsea striker has 11 goals in 11 games. After coming in just over the summer, he has made Montreal Impact a stronger team and Montreal is also in the playoffs.

This Sunday, Montreal played Giovinco's Toronto and with two resourceful finishes, Drogba became the star of the match. Meanwhile, it was the Italian striker who provided the assist for Toronto's goal. Now both stars had something to brag about by the end of the game but Drogba could also claim that his team won.
