The Red Devils have allegedly presented a bid to sign the Brazilian superstar before the transfer window is closed.

Neymar's future with Barcelona may not be as certain as fans may think. Last week, a number of rumors from Spanish and English sources claimed that a bid to sign the Brazilian was being worked out between Los Blaugranas and Manchester United, but the player's agent denied such claims during the weekend. Today, sources from Brazil confirmed that LVG's team would be willing to lure the player away from Camp Nou for a record fee of £140 million.

According to Brazilian newspaper Globo, the Red Devils were preparing the whopping bid for quite some time, revealing that Ed Woodward travelled to Barcelona to work out a deal for the Brazilian, not for Pedro, as some might have thought. The same newspaper reported earlier this summer that Roberto Firmino was headed to Liverpool, and the deal ended up working out.

Neymar's contribution during Barcelona's award-winning season was superb.

Furthermore, reports from the same news outlet reveal that, even though Neymar is quite happy where he is, he would not rule out a transfer to join Man United.

Neymar wasn't able to play the team's first game of the season after recovering from the mumps two days before the match. Although the player hasn't gone public about the matter, team coach Luis Enrique has no doubt the player will remain playing with them this year.
