Manchester United released the numbers for every player of their first team squad ahead of their game this Saturday against Tottenham. Memphis Depay, the clubs biggest signing of the summer will wear the number that two days ago belonged to Angel Di Maria (7).

While Depay could have easily chosen nine, he decided to stick with the same number that he used while playing for his former team, PSV Eindhoven. Depay also usually goes with 11 when playing for the national team, but in Manchester United, that one belongs to Adnan Januzaj.

David de Gea was listed in the squad with the number one. Their new goalkeeper Sergio Romero, will be wearing 20 in his back. Bastian Schweinsteiger, another new player in the squad will be wearing his jersey with the number 31 imprinted on it. Matteo Darmian chose to go with 36 while Morgan Schneiderlin is going with 28.

Javier Hernandez was linked with over five clubs over the summer (Sevilla, Valencia, Orlando, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Benfica), but it seems that in the end he will stay with the club that signed him in 2010, where he still has one year left in his contract. Manchester United announced that he will continue wearing #14.

As we mentioned before, Schweinsteiger chose number 31, a number that belonged to Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian player will now go with 27 starting this season. Barcelona's Pedro was not included in this list, but it seems like he will wear #9 on his back when he joins the English club after the Super Cup compromise.
