About Trans TV
Trans TV is an Indonesian television channel that is owned and operated by Trans Media. This channel was launched on October 25, 2001 and it has quickly become one of the most popular channels in Indonesia.
Trans TV has been known as a general interest channel since its launch, with some of the themes included in their shows being religion, movies, soap operas, news broadcasts, sports, children’s programming, quiz shows, and variety shows. Most of the content aired on this channel has been produced abroad, but there have been some international shows and movies aired on this channel over the years.
Speaking about sports, Trans TV has focused on football as the main sport to cover. Some of the competitions that have been aired on this channel include La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the FA Cup, and the FA Community Shield, to name a few. Additionally, Trans TV has aired games for the English National Football team and has also included FIFA World Cup matches and AFF Championship games.
Trans TV was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed saw the light during the 2010s. The HD feed has become the primary option to watch this channel, but a downscaled version has been made available for users who do not have access to HD technology.
