ESPN has secured linear and digital Bundesliga rights in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands from 2020 to 2026 following a six-year deal worth approximately $30 million per season. ESPN2 is a cable television channel in the USA, owned by ESPN. The channel was launched in 1993 and is used by ESPN as a secondary option for broadcasting its biggest sporting events.This was not always the case, as when it first launched, ESPN used ESPN2 to show coverage of lesser-known sports, such as billiards and lumberjacking.
