Congo Premier League is the top professional league for association football clubs in the Republic of the Congo. It was created in 1961 and is run by the Congolese Football Federation.
The league operates on the promotion and relegation system and is contested by 16 teams. At the end of the season, the league winners and runners-up qualify for the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup, respectively.
The bottom-ranked team is relegated while the second lowly-ranked side features in a relegation play-off to keep or lose its spot.
