About MNC Sports
MNC Sports is an Indonesian television channel owned and operated by MNC. This channel was launched on September 5, 2005 under the name Vision 1, becoming the first sports television channel from Indonesia. On November 2, 2011, Vision 1 would be rebranded to MNC Sports.
Over the years, MNC Sports has established itself as one of the most relevant sports networks in the continent thanks to the variety of disciplines it has covered. Football, badminton, boxing, motorsports, field hockey, and more have been available to watch on this channel. Added to those, the channel has also offered aerobic workouts to reach a wider audience that is not necessarily keen on watching sports.
When it comes to football, MNC Sports has offered both club and national team competitions to its users. MNC Sports has covered Liga 1 and Liga 2 games for Indonesian football, while also adding leagues from other parts of the world such as the K-League, the Italian Serie A, and the Spanish Primera División. National team football has seen MNC Sports broadcasting tournaments such as the UEFA Euro, the Copa América, the AFF Championship, and the UEFA Women’s Euro, to name a few.
MNC Sports has been available in several cable and satellite TV companies as a Standard Definition channel. Plans to develop and launch a High-Definition feed are already underway, according to its parent company.
