BTN - Big Ten Network history, coverage, features
Big Ten Network (BTN) is an American sports channel that broadcasts collegiate athletics in the Big Ten Conference. The channel launched in 2007 in the United States before being unveiled in Canada in 2009. In addition to the US and Canada, BTN offers English-language broadcasts in the Caribbean.Based in Chicago, BTN is jointly owned by Fox Sports Media Group (as majority shareholder) and the Big Ten Conference. The channel was rebranded as BTN in 2011 and launched its streaming service, which was first known as BTN2Go before being renamed B1G+. B1G+ is a subscription-based platform for viewers in the United States, Canada, and multiple Caribbean territories.
The network regularly carries Big Ten men’s and women’s soccer games and provides broadcasts in high definition for viewers in the United States and Canada.
