Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired multi-platform English Premier League rights in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, in a deal that runs from 2022 to 2028. Live EPL streaming will be available on Viaplay – the leading online video streaming service in the Nordic region. Live Premier League matches and full replays may also be aired on NENT’s pay-TV and free-TV channels.

Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group’s OTT streaming service has acquired exclusive rights to the annual German Super Cup through 2029 following an extension on a prior four-year deal. The Super Cup will be live-streamed on Viaplay, NENT Group’s OTT service in high definition.

Viaplay has secured multi-year EFL streaming rights in multiple territories from 2024 to 2028. Fans in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden can stream matches from English football’s oldest cup competition after signing up for the “Viaplay Total” package, which is offered on a monthly basis.

Viaplay Netherlands history, coverage, features

Viaplay is a multi-platform premium streaming service in the Netherlands, which launched in March 2022. It is operated by Swedish-based media and entertainment company Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT), which runs different versions of Viaplay in various European territories.

At the time of its launch, Viaplay Netherlands was accessible as a direct subscription, and also through distribution partners such as KPN and VodafoneZiggo. Viaplay Netherlands’ sports coverage was originally designed to cover premium sporting events from the world of car racing, football, mixed martial arts, and more. Regarding its football broadcasts, Viaplay launched with media rights to major competitions like the Italian Serie A.

Aside from sports, Viaplay’s Dutch service comprises kids’ content and original productions for films, along with international TV series. Programming of that nature may be aired with Dutch subtitles or Dutch dubbing.
