About Watch ESPN Brasil
ESPN is a pay-tv channel available in most regions of the world. It is owned by the Walt Disney Company and by Hearst Communications, who launched the channel in 1989. The Brazilian version of the U.S-based network has operated four channels (ESPN Brasil, ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPN Extra), and one streaming service comprising all of their TV feeds known as Watch ESPN Brasil.
Just like its American counterpart, ESPN specializes in sports coverage. The network has covered various disciplines over the years, which have included football, action sports, baseball, basketball, boxing college sports, cricket, cycling, esports, futsal, golf, American football, handball, horse racing, ice hockey, marathon, mixed martial arts, motorsports, poker, rugby, surf, tennis, volleyball, and yatching.
ESPN’s football coverage over the years has included the following leagues and international competitions: English Premier League, La Liga, the Primeira Liga, the Eredivisie, the Chinese Super League, the American Major League Soccer, and Mexico’s Liga de Expansión, UEFA Women’s Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and friendly competitions such as the Audi Cup, the Premier League Asia Trophy, the Emirates Cup, and the Joan Gamper Trophy. FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches for the African Football Confederation and CONCACAF have also been streamed on this service.
Fans who want to access Watch ESPN must provide credentials to access the platform. Those credentials are granted to them by participating cable and satellite TV companies in Brazil. All the content aired by the terrestrial channels in Brazil has been available to stream both live and on-demand over Brazilian soil.

The deal allows ESPN Brazil to show all La Liga matches for a total of 380 La Liga matches each season. Following a sub-licensing agreement with DAZN, ESPN will air 8 live matches each week on its core linear TV channels, as well as its streaming service WatchESPN. Highlights of all EPL games will also be available, and subscribers will be able to watch the games on demand. |
