ProSiebenSat1 has the rights to show live football matches from the German Bundesliga on free-to-air television in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
The latest deal agreed between the free-to-air television network and the DFL was signed in December 2024 and runs until the end of the 2028-29 season.

Sat.1 history, coverage, features
Sat.1 is a free-to-air TV channel in Germany that launched in 1984 as PKS before changing its name to Sat.1 a year later. ProSiebenSat. 1 Media owns the channel, and it has several sister channels in Germany. Sat.1 is mainly used as a channel for entertainment and drama, but it also has a focus on live sports. In 2021, they secured rights to show live action of the Bundesliga on free-to-air television, and they have also shown live matches at the Club World Cup.Sat.1 is available for live streaming via the Joyn app in German. Joyn offers live and on-demand content from Sat.1, including its football offerings. Joyn can be downloaded for free onto smartphones, tablets and smart TVs. Although it is based in Germany, Sat.1 is also available in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Poland, Romania and Lithuania. All programming is in German.
