About Belarusian Supercup
Belarusian Supercup History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The Belarusian Super Cup is an annual club competition hosted by the Football Federation of Belarus. The tournament was created by the FFB in 2010 and usually features the winners of the Belarusian Premier League against the Belarusian Cup holders. Due to the extreme weather conditions in the country, the game is usually played between February and March.
The game has been played at a neutral venue among the teams involved, using extra time and penalties to determine the winner in the event of a draw after 90 minutes. The most successful team in this competition since its launch has been BATE Borisov, who have been involved in the clash over ten times, whether as league winners or cup champions.
Coverage for this competition in Belarus has been awarded to Belarus 5, a state-owned free-to-air channel until 2026.
