Digiturk history, coverage, features
Digiturk is a satellite television provider from Turkey, which is owned and operated by the beIN Media Group. It was launched in 1999, and it started providing digital TV services around June 2000. The beIN Media Group acquired the service on July 13, 2015. The service is not only available in Turkey, as the beIN Media Group has attempted to reach Turkish expatriates across Europe to provide this service.
Over the years, Digiturk has offered a wide variety of channels to its users which cover a variety of topics. Some of those topics have included news, film and series channels, children channels, entertainment channels, lifestyle channels, music channels, and sports channels. Some of those networks may be available in SD, but a large number of the channels available on this platform offer their content in a High-Definition feed.
Through their sports channels, Digiturk has been able to cover sports such as football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, motorsports, and more. When it comes to football, some of the competitions available on this platform have included the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Spor Toto Super League, Spor Toto 1st League, France Ligue 1, French League Cup, English Premier League, English Football League, and the Italian Serie A, among others.
Digiturk has offered content in Standard Definition since its launch, but High-Definition channels and some 4K broadcasts have been available via this service.
