Women’s soccer rocks ESPN3, BBC and British EuroSport in summer 2013
The ‘Winning Ground’ is the title of the tournament’s official anthem. As women’s football continues to develop around the world, it appears all 12 contenders at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 Championship are winners – regardless of match results on the ground.
It is the last time that this tournament involves this number of teams. As many as 16 countries will compete in the next edition scheduled for 2017. This term, Italy and Norway are making a record 10th appearance. Like France, Finland, England, Denmark, Netherlands, Russia, Iceland, hosts Sweden and hot favourites Germany, they were present at the 2009 Women’s European Championship.

UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 was composed of three groups. The best two third-placed teams joined the top two of each group in the Last 8.
Group A: Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Finland
Group B: Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Iceland
Group C: France, England, Russia, Spain
UPDATE: Women’s Euro 2013 knockout stage matches – on TSN and TSN2 in Canada
Supporters of women’s soccer in Canada can now add the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 Championship to their schedule as TSN and TSN2 have teamed up to broadcast knockout stage matches live or on repeat. TSN2 will broadcast four of these seven matches. This includes one semi-final game and the grand finale. Two fixtures will go live on TSN.
