About England - Premier League

England's top football league is known as the English Premier League (EPL) but officially called the Barclays Premier League, after its current sponsor, the Barclays Bank. It was founded on February 20, 1992 and is composed of 20 teams. Every season, the three sides with the lowest number of points after 38 rounds of matches are relegated to the Football League Championship while three new clubs gain promotion. The start and conclusion dates for the 2014/15 EPL season are 16 August 2014 and 24 May 2015. The Premier League is in its 23rd season. Manchester City is the current champion but Manchester United is the most successful club with 13 titles to its name.
