The international break is over, finally! And now, our focus shifts to La Liga where there are plenty of exciting fixtures to look forward to.
Top of the list is the Madrid derby where rivals Atletico and Real Madrid will take on each other at the Vincente Calderon stadium on Saturday. The 54,907-seater stadium is located in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, and all roads will be leading there this weekend.

Real Madrid are top of the league table with 27 points, six more than fourth-place Atleti, who have been inconsistent so far in this campaign. The visitors have not lost any of their last five matches (W4,D1) while the hosts have lost two and won three of their last five.
All eyes will be on Antoine Griezmann on the hosts’ side. The French forward is among the early contenders for the league’s Golden Boot award, having already found the back of the net six times. On Los Blancos’ side, all eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo, who has five goals and one assist already to his name this season. Both Ronaldo and Griezmann have also been nominated for the Globe Soccer Awards Best Player of the Year 2016 category.
