Here are seven attackers that we expect to shine in the semi-final stage of the on going European Championship.

UEFA Euro 2016 has entered the penultimate round, as only four teams continue to fight for the coveted European Championship title. The semi-finals take place on Wednesday and Thursday, with either Portugal or Wales and Germany or France set to make the ultimate game.

We’ve witnessed entertaining football, huge wins, shocking results, and inspiring campaigns -- from the Dragons and Iceland in particular -- in the current tournament. Many players have shown their attacking flare on the big stage, scoring brilliant goals for their nation.

Here, we take a look at seven forwards that everyone should be watching out for in the last 4.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Games: 5

Goals: 2

Assists: 1

He has been frustrating throughout most of the tournament, and has only two goals from 36 shots in total, but Cristiano Ronaldo still remains a key man for Portugal. When in need, the Real Madrid superstar can step up his game and change everything, just as he did with his brace vs Hungary.

Nani

Games: 5

Goals: 2

Assists: 1

With six key passes under his belt and seven chances created, the Fenerbahce ace is the right man to assist Cristiano in Portugal’s attempt to make the UEFA Euro 2016 final.

Antoine Griezmann

Games: 5

Goals: 4

Assists: 2

He tops the goalscoring chart and has also set up two goals along the way. In addition, the Atletico ace has created 9 chances in UEFA Euro 2016 so far and boasts an 83% pass completition.

Olivier Giroud

Games: 4

Goals: 3

Assists: 2

Say what you want about Giroud and his wastefulness in front of goal; the French striker continues to score for the national side. He proves to be a constant threat in the air, winning 70% of his aerial duel, but sadly boasts an abysmal 33% shot accuracy.

Gareth Bale

Games: 5

Goals: 3

Assists: 0

He wins approximately 67% of his take-ons, has a 74% shot accuracy, and has won eight fouls for his team. The last stat will come priceless, given that the Real Madrid superstar has already proven to be deadly with free-kicks, having scored two so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Portugal, Wales, UEFA Euro 2016

Hal Robson-Kanu

Games: 4

Goals: 2

Assists: 0

Anyone who does this to the Belgium defense deserves attention.

The Reading forward scores every other game, has created five chances and has dished out as many key passes.

Thomas Muller

Games: 5

Goals: 0

Assists: 1

Muller’s stats are disappointing, so why is he an attacker to watch out for? Firstly, he’s still in search of his first European Championship goal, and the second best place to end this streak is in the semis. In addition, Mario Gomez is injured for the France clash and thus the goalscoring burden will fall upon the Bayern Munich ace’s shoulders.
