2011/12 UEFA Europa League groups revealed: Spurs in Group A with Rubin Kazan

The draw for the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League season has been made and titleholders Porto won’t be able to defend their title as they’ll participate in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League.

In arguably the most interesting group, Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham Hotspur will have to affront Russian giants Rubin Kazan. Group I could however compete against Group A as the most exciting.

2010 champions Atletico Madrid have been drawn alongside 2011/12 UEFA Champions League playoffs losers Udinese. Meanwhile, 2011 runners-up Sporting Braga fell in Group H with English side Birmingham City.

For Fulham, Dutch contenders FC Twente might also present a tough challenge in Group K. The 12 UEFA Europa League groups have been ranged as follows:

Group A: Tottenham, Rubin Kazan, PAOK, Shamrock Rovers

Group B: København, Standard Liege, Hannover 96, Vorskla Poltava

Group C: PSV, Hapoel, Rapid Bucharest, Legia Warsaw

Group D: Sporting Lisbon, Lazio, Zurich, Vaslui

Group E: Dynamo Kiev, Besiktas, Stoke, Maccabi Tel-Aviv

Group F: Paris Saint-Germain, Athletic Bilbao, Red Bull Salzburg, Slovan Bratislava

Group G: AZ, Metalist, Austria Wien, Malmo

Group H: Sporting Braga, Club Brugge, Birmingham City, NK Maribor

Group I: Atletico Madrid, Udinese, Stade Rennais, Sion

Group J: Schalke 04, Steaua Bucharest, Maccabi Haifa, AEK Larnaca

Group K: FC Twente, Fulham, Odense, Wislaw Krakow

Group L: Anderlecht, AEK Athens, Lokomotiv Moscow, Sturm Graz
