PSG have seen their Ligue 1 campaign disrupted due to protests in France, and as a result, Les Parisiens have had one of their games against Dijon postponed. Their winning streak in Ligue 1 came to an end as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Bordeaux, followed by another stalemate against tricky opponents Strasbourg - who notably ended their 16 game unbeaten streak last season and prevented them from becoming the first team to complete a Ligue 1 campaign sans defeat.
Still, although PSG's 100 per cent winning record has come to an end, they are still unbeaten and will be certainly fancying their chances against Nantes, who they have beaten in their last 15 meetings at the Parc des Princes. The hosts come into this game having fought to earn a 2-1 win over Orleans in their midweek Coupe de la Ligue clash and will hope to sign off on 2018 with another win.
Nantes, by contrast, lost 2-1 to Rennes midweek, but ended a three game winless streak by beating Marseille 3-2 earlier this month. Like PSG, they also had a game abruptly cancelled due to the "Gillets Jaunes" protests and so also will have an additional match in hand after this game. Although certainly they will be the underdogs here, with new manager Halilhodzic will hope to spring a major upset in Paris as the visitors also hope to end 2018 on a high note.
