The Spanish giants are upset after seeing their clash with Celta Vigo be postponed.

According to a report written by Marca, Real Madrid are upset at the postponement of their clash with Celta Vigo. The Spanish clubs were meant to lock horns in La Liga, but their match was pushed back after heavy winds damaged the stadium.

This means that Los Blancos will have to fit another game into a tight schedule, given that one Spanish Primera Division game had already been rescheduled due to their FIFA Club World Cup campaign. The Merengues executives aren’t happy having tried – and failed – to avoid postponing the Celta Vigo game.

As a result, Marca write that the 11-time Champions League winners have resumed their push for a breakaway European Super League. This would contain some of the biggest clubs from the continent.

Real Madrid are reportedly using their recent incident with Celta Vigo as a ground in their cause. Another argument for this breakaway league is Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis in which Suarez was denied a clear goal due to the lack of goal-line technology.

The Blaugrana would join Real Madrid in this league if it comes true, with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla the other Spanish clubs that might be invited. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen would be the participants from the Bundesliga.

Given the English Premier League’s appeal, the English top-flight would have five members: Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. This means Leicester and Tottenham would be omitted.

Three could come from France in the form of PSG, Marseille, and Lyon. Four could be from Italy: Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Napoli.
