Football Daily have compiled a list of the most valuable clubs, dominated by England and La Liga.

With the new calendar year having recently begun, the lovely people at Football Daily compiled a list of the world’s richest club of 2016, featuring a who’s who of Europe’s elites.

No team outside of the UEFA confederations featured, with the top 10 teams sharing a staggering 38 Champions League titles between them, though 2 teams in the list never lifted the coveted trophy.

One surprise exclusion from the list was French mega-rich side Paris Saint-Germain, who just missed out on a spot to Serie A giants AC Milan, whom despite their European and domestic deterioration, come in at 10 with a value of £492m.

Barclays Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City, ranked at 6th and 4th with values worth £870M and £2B respectively, have the riches of their owners (Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour) to thank, though the Blues league and cup double last season went a long way to help.

Champions League and La Liga holders Barcelona were an expected inclusion in the top 10, having won 5 trophies in 2015 – including the Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup – but ranked outside the top 2 in third spot, valued at £2.1B.
