Wolfsburg seat on top of Manchester United due to a better goal difference. The German Bundesliga champions scored three goals past CSKA Moscow thanks to Grafite’s hat-trick. And despite conceding a goal, they edge Manchester United who could only win 1-0 away to Besiktas on the same night.
The last time Manchester United came up against a German side, they lost. That was during a pre-season match against Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup.
This fact will have little or no impact at all on Wednesday when Wolfsburg and Manchester United clash against each other.
