UEFA Rankings

More than half (6) of the teams that lead the charts belong to UEFA. With Belgium now being the best of them, they could threaten Argentina as long as they keep a solid performance in the Euro Qualifiers. Gareth Bale and Wales have reached their best ranking ever by settling in ninth place. Romania has also matched their best ranking since 1997 (7th).

CONCACAF Rankings

This was a confederation that was severely shaken by what happened last month in the Gold Cup. Mexico returns to claim its spot as the best team of Concacaf, surpassing Costa Rica. The USMNT also made it into the top 30 by climbing up five spots into 29th place, despite not making it to the Gold Cup final. Costa Rica, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago also moved up. Panama went down despite its great efforts during the last month.

Mexico leads Concacaf for the first time in a long time.

CAF Rankings

There wasn't that much movement in this confederation. Algeria and Ivory Coast are still commanding this region despite not moving up any spots nor dropping out of where the rankings had them last month(19 and 21). Ghana and Tunisia dropped two spots each to 27th and 34th respectively.
