2014 FIFA World Cup draw—UEFA, CAF, AFC, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, OFC & the groups

With the 2014 FIFA World Cup 3 years away from now, the draws for the qualifying campaigns in each zone have been made.
A total of 824 qualifying games will help define the other 31 participating nations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup where Brazil have qualified as the host nation since October 30, 2007. Here’s how the qualification spots have been distributed among the 6 confederations under FIFA:

Europe (UEFA) have been awarded 13 places, Africa (CAF) 5 places, Asia (AFC) 4 or 5 places, South America (CONMEBOL) 4 or 5 places making it 5 or 6 with host Brazil, Oceania (OFC) 0 or 1 place, North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF) 3 or 4 places.

2011 Copa America: Paraguay, Venezuela and Ecuador, Fined By CONMEBOL

Group B contenders must pay 5000 dollars and lose two Fair Play qualification points for their delay in the opening game
Based on Raul Orozco's and Sergio Pezzotta's report, CONMEBOL's Disciplinary Comittee warned three members of Group B for "delaying the start of the second half". warning that "more drastic sanctions could be taken" if the teams showed up late in the next game.

But if CONMEBOL is determined to hold all Copa Libertadores games in due time and proper course, why didn't they fine Neymar and Venezuela's coach Cesar Farias as they came to blows at the end of the first half?

I'm not saying CONMEBOL should support such behavior, but I believe a warning would have been more fitting.

World Rankings: Where Do CONMEBOL’s Teams Seat Ahead Of The Copa America?

FIFA have released the very latest Coca-Cola World Ranking and there’s less good news than bad news for South American teams just ahead of the 2011 Copa America.

CONMEBOL's teams have been ranked quite low in general ahead of the 2011 Copa America.No, Brazil are no longer in the top 4. This zone is occupied by reigning World Cup champions Spain, runners-up Netherlands, third-place winners Germany, and rather astonishingly… England!

The Three Lions have reportedly jumped 2 places up whereas Brazil’s Seleçao have gone 2 down. Eventually, 2011 Copa America favorites Brazil are only 5th in the FIFA Coca-Cola World Rankings despite topping the chart on the South American continent.

But Argentina, Uruguay and Chile will be much more worried that the Seleçao. The Albicelestes now find themselves 10th in the world having dropped 5 places, but second in the CONMEBOL zone.
