What are the chances of having a Cup final between Arsenal and Liverpool? Should you put your money on that possibility? Or should you bet on Reading and Aston Villa?

The much anticipated FA Cup semi-finals present an interesting ingredient in their build-up. Two of the most followed sides in the Premier League could face each other in the Final match, with the Gunners aiming to repeat last year’s conquest. But can both teams live up to the hype and get to the final match, or could they be shocked by Reading or Aston Villa? With three out of the four contenders playing in the Premier League, but with only two of those fighting at the top of the table, let’s take a good look at each game and see if a Liverpool vs Arsenal final is feasible.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool

The Villains surely have the highest possibilities of ending the “Dream final” prospects, since their performance against Liverpool recently shows Aston Villa has been quite difficult to beat for the Reds. In their previous six meetings, Liverpool has won three matches, drawing one and losing two more against Villa Park’s owners. Perhaps the up side for Liverpool is that Brendan Rodgers’ side has been able to win their previous four games at Villa Park, precisely the upcoming game’s scenario.

With their current struggles to keep themselves among the English top flight, coach Tim Sherwood has stated his side will be looking to give their fans a little glory by winning the FA Cup. To do so, his team will need to end their current drought at Villa Park, where they haven’t been able to win a game for a month. Maybe that would be enough motivation for the Villains to perform an upset against the heavily favored Reds.

Reading vs Arsenal

The Gunners are the hottest team in the Premier League right now. With nothing but victories in their most recent games, Arsene Wenger’s side currently holds the second place in the EPL standings, having a change of luck since losing the first leg against Monaco in their Champions League matchup. When it comes to their games against Reading, Arsenal has won seven out of their last eight games when facing their hosts, with an incredible average of four goals per game when facing The Royals.

On the other hand, Reading is currently undergoing a complicated streak, not being able to win a game since March 16th. They will need all sorts of luck to eliminate Arsenal from the competition, even with players such as Robson-Kanu or Pavel Pogrebnyak on the pitch.
