Three newcomers, one rookie, an up and coming midfielder and one of Spain's greatest shot-stoppers will be voted as the best in theEnglish Premier League.

Six players will aim to take Luis Suarez's spot as the 2015 PFA Player of the year. Chelsea's Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, Tottenham's Harry Kane, Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United's keeper David de Gea are up for the prize, regarded by many as one of the top distinctions a Premier League player can get.

Costa and Sanchez did not waste any time to make an impression on their fellow players, who voted them for the trophy during their first season playing in the Premier League. Both South American-born strikers have netted 20 goals in all competitions for their sides, with Costa leading the Blues to a Capital One Cup victory, and with Sanchez becoming one of the key elements in Arsene Wenger's men. Right alongside Costa, Belgian Eden Hazard has proven to be a wonderful all around player for Jose Mourinho, becoming a regular in the Premier League's team of the week.

Liverpool's magnificent run in the year 2015 has to be linked to Philippe Coutinho's display. With key assists and goals, the Brazilian midfielder led the Reds' rise from the ashes to fight one more time for Champions League spots. Brendan Rodgers' side were undefeated for almost three months, and the former Inter Milan player had a key role in his team's form.

Perhaps the biggest story in English football this year, Harry Kane burst into the spotlight with amazing goalscoring skills. The 21-year old striker was even called up by Roy Hodgson for his first cap with the English National team, scoring a goal 79 seconds after getting on the pitch. His 27 goals among all competitions and even wearing the captain's armband for Spurs have been enough proof of his talent, with many years for him to come.

Kane has made quite an impact during his first full season with Tottenham

Finally, David De Gea's form has been superb for the past couple of years, but his influence in the team's performance is rather astonishing. After enduring hard losses when the season began, De Gea became one of Manchester United's cornerstones, getting the Red Devils to Champions League spots after a very disappointing year for their fans. Being the only defensive player in the mix, De Gea surely stands out after one of his best professional seasons.

De Gea is seen by many as Spain's best goalkeeper over Iker Casillas and Pepe Reina.

The award has been presented since the 1973-1974 season, being Manchester United the club with the most winners (11) up to this date.
