The stage is almost set for the back-to-back Barclays Premier League Player of the Month, Harry Kane, to make his debut with England when they face Lithuania at Wembley.
He will share the position with one of England´s all-time greatest, Wayne Rooney. The Manchester United forward has 101 caps with the national team and is now the captain of the team. He has warned outsiders from putting pressure of the young striker.
Kane can learn a lot from Rooney who has been called to represent England 101 
Rooney referred to the 29 goals that Kane has scored for the Tottenham
“We should give him time. Let him continue to do what he is doing and that will be the best way to get the best out of him,” Rooney claimed.
The 21-year-old player can learn a lot from Rooney. His fellow striker on the national team has scored 46 times wearing England’s jersey. Wazza is just four goals short of surpassing Bobby Charlton’s record of 49 goals with the Lions.
The expectation to see Kane debut with England just keeps growing
Manager Roy Hodgson is delighted to see Kane emerge into the scene of the England’s best players. That also does not mean that his current popularity will secure him a spot. Hodgson won’t let outside pressure influence his decision.
“I’d like to think I don’t succumb to that or, If I do pick them, that I’m merely making a populist decision.”
The manager claimed that Kane would have his debut sometime in the next two games. If for some reason he doesn’t play against Lithuania, he should do so against Italy.
