Osasuna vs Valencia Match Preview

Four consecutive defeats have sank Osasuna below the relegation line, and a good result against Valencia is mandatory for Jose Luis Mendilibar's boys to recover their spirit for the last five Liga games. Unai Emery's Valencia suffered a major 6-3 victory in their last Liga clash against Real Madrid, and would have to get back on their feet soon to defend the third position.

Osasuna faced two defeats in the last two games at the Reyno de Navarra. During the first 30 Liga games, only Barcelona managed to defeat Osasuna at home, and Mendilibar's Rojillos need to defend their fortress to secure the category. Valencia's striker Roberto Soldado will face tough opposition in Pamplona, but he's demonstrated with eight goals in the last four games his supreme offensive capabilities.

If Valencia follows Atletico and Athletic with a victory at the Reyno de Navarra, Osasuna could be left more than two games away from leaving the drop zone. Valencia, on the other hand, opened a safe six-point buffer zone from Villarreal in the fight for the third position, but it seems Garrido's submarines won't give in so easily.

Ever Banega, Pablo and Joaquin will lead Che's attack, joined by Soldado and Juan Mata as central strikers. Valencia's winger Jordi Alba is likely to make it into the starting eleven. Osasuna recovers its most dangerous striker, Walter Pandiani, but he might not be fully fit to perform, and could miss the first minutes of the game.

Two differente squads lock horns in Pamplona, who'll succeed?
