Málaga vs Getafe Match Preview
Last week's visit to the Sanchez Pizjuan cost Malaga much more than they could have expected. Manuel Pellegrini's Boquerones lost goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo, on loan from Atletico Madrid, and it'd take at least six months for the goalie to recover. Portuguese midfielder Duda was diagnosed with a rib cage strain, and it will take over a month for him to recover.
Getafe returned to victory last week after six games. Spanish striker Adrian Colunga secured the game for Michel's Azulones in the first 30 minutes of the game with a double, before Pedro Rios and Miku gave Getafe a four-goal lead over Deportivo.
To make things even worse for Malaga, it's been confirmed Javier Malagueño is ruled out from this game with a minor knee injury, just like Getafe's defenders Kris and Hélder Rosario, who could both miss this clash as well.
Getafe needs a victory to keep up with the European race while Malaga must not concede any more points at home if they're meant to retain the category. A vital game for both squads, who'll succeed?
