The final week of action in the French top-flight will deliver excitement and drama, along with the end of Mbappé's stay at PSG.

The final curtain is about to drop after a grueling 34-week season in  Ligue 1. The title has already been won by Paris Saint-Germain, and even if the top gong already "sleeps" among the rest of the trophies owned by Les Parisiens, fans around the world will want to know what goes on between the rest of the teams and start planning for next season.

There could still be some major changes in the league's standings after the weekend, which is why the competition's officers decided to have all games played at the same time. The changes in how the standings look have to do with both the fight for European competition spots and the relegation battle.

Without further ado, here's what to keep in mind ahead of this weekend's matches.

Mbappé prepares for "Last Dance" with PSG

The time has come for the French superstar to put an end to his seven-year stay with Les Parisiens. Mbappé has already bid farewell to the team's supporters in last week's game against Toulouse, but with this being his final league game for PSG, most experts believe he will get a chance to say goodbye to the French top-flight in the final weekend of the season. PSG's rival will be Metz, a club that will be desperate to send him off with a loss, mainly due to their complicated position in the tournament.

Which teams will play in Europe next season?

Two UEFA Champions League spots have already been handed out to PSG and Monaco, but there is one more up for grabs that will go to either Lille or Brest. Both teams are level at 58 points, but Lille have a better goal difference, which will be the big hurdle for Brest to overcome if both teams win their games.

Nice have also secured their spot in next year's Europa League, but there is one more place in the Conference League to be decided, and that's where Marseille, Lens, and Lyon will be involved. Out of these teams, Lyon have one more chance to claim a spot in European tournaments, but they must beat PSG in the Coupe de France final to be included in that competition.

Relegation battle at a glance

With Clermont already making plans to play in Ligue 2 next season, the remaining drop spot and the relegation playoff ticket are still up for grabs. Lorient may escape direct relegation if they win their match against Clermont, but it would only be enough to enter the relegation playoff. That will only be possible if Metz loses their match to PSG, although these combined results must see Lorient improving their goal difference by seven goals. In case both teams win, then Le Havre must be cautious not to allow many goals against Marseille, since a heavy result against Le Club Doyen could see them entering the relegation playoff if combined with a handsome win by Metz.
