The 25th anniversary of what is arguably the greatest disaster in England’s sports history, the Hillsborough incident of 1989, is not a thing that any sports-loving person would take lightly, and certainly not anyone related to Liverpool FC.

This is why, on April 15th 2014, hordes of fans accompanied by Liverpool players of the present times as well as the past were all in attendance at Anfield as yet another show of respect was made towards the victims. These are some of the catchiest pictures of the day:

The former Liverpool players that made their way to Anfield include Bruce Grobbelaar, Kenny Daglish and John Aldridge and were accompanied by former manager Gerard Houllier.
