Juventus and Roma fans must be really enjoying their respective team's performances so far this season.

Both the Bianconeri and the Giallorossi have already secured Champions League football for next season, and are also well ahead of the pack, with just five points seperating the reigning Scudetto holders from the second-placed capital club.

But even more impressive is their goal output. In a league that non-calcio followers often associate with defensive tactics and lower score-lines, Juventus and Roma have been firing in the goals--whilst, yes, minimizing the number of times each team's goalkeeper picks the ball out from his net.

La Vecchia Signora boast 69 goals so far, and La Maggica is just behind them with 68 from 33 games played, so that's on average a bit more than 2 goals per game for Francesco Totti & Co.

Decisive attack, yet very strong at the back: Both Juventus and Roma have done well in each department

However, despite leading Serie A, Juventus's haul is obviously by far not the most prolific side in Europe. That honour goes to Real Madrid, who so far have netted a whopping 9strikes, with Cristiano Ronaldo grabbing 28 of those so far.

Next up is Liverpool. The Reds, who are inching closer to claiming their first Premier League title in over two decades, are just behind Carlo Ancelotti's men with 93 goals. Even more impressive is the fact that Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, aka 'SAS' have scored 49 of those between them.

Beasts: Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge have grabbed nearly 50% of their team's goals this season

Despite claiming the Bundesliga in record time, Bayern Munich sit fifth on this list with 82 goals, but die Roten have failed to score in their last two league games that ended as a loss.

Reigning Champions League winners Bayern are in the middle of the table with over 80 goals

Not surprisingly, given his great season so far, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who leads the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 25 goals, has scored over 1/3rd of PSG's 74. If one adds Edinson Cavani's 15, the former Serie A duo have also scored over 50% of Les Parisiens league haul this season.

Impressive: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani have scored 40 out of their team's 74 strikes
