Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed his joy at the return of his Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey. The French manager has stated he is delighted to have him back in the squad as he is an integral member of the team, but insisted he is still not competitive yet.

Aaron Ramsey had been having somewhat of an extraordinary season at Arsenal, during the beginning of the 2013-2014 English Premier League. The Welsh midfielder scored 13 goals and made 7 assists in all competiions for Arsenal before picking up a lengthy injury in a Boxing Day match against West Ham. With vital games against Everton, and a FA Cup semi-finals match against Wigan though, his return could not have been more appreciated.

“He's an all-round midfielder who can score goals and always drives the team forward,“ said Wenger. “He's a real box-to-box player so it's good to have him back.”

“It's an area where we are short because we have many midfielders out. We have Wilshere and Ozil out in this area, so of course it's good to have him back.”
