Chile will be making a trip to London for the first time in 15 years as they play an injury ravaged England side on the 15th of November.

England will face Chile in a vital friendly match on November 15, 2013.Preview: Hodgson set to experiment as injuries pile up

Roy Hodgson is set to be without a number of star players as injuries continue to stack up at the England camp. Captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out with a hip injury, whereas his club teammate Daniel Sturridge who has been on an impressive scoring run in the league will also miss the fixture.

Manchester United duo Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick who has been ruled out for at least six weeks will also not make the squad, whereas first choice right back Kyle Walker has also been declared as unavailable.

Rickie Lambert who has impressed since making his debut for the three lions earlier in the year picked up an injury during training which will keep him out of Friday’s fixture but his club teammates Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez are in line for their international debuts.

"I don't want to get drawn into it (naming his team)," Hodgson said.

"I haven't spoken to the players about the team."

"Frank knows and I have spoken to the Southampton boys and told them they will feature. That's all I'm going to say."

A host of changes are expected in the starting line-up, with Joe Hart who has been England and Manchester City’s undisputed first choice keeper for the past few years is set to be benched during the Chile encounter. The 26 year old has played second fiddle to Romanian international Costel Pantilimon at Manchester City and has not started in any of the last four matches following a series of below par performances for club and country.

Now he is set to be replaced by Celtic number one Fraser Forster or Norwich goalie John Ruddy who are both in contention for a place between the posts.

"Joe Hart won't be starting, you will have to work out for yourself which of the others won't," Hodgson added.

"John [Ruddy] was with us from the beginning and I have had time with him and have had Fraser [Forster] with us for over a year. I will make that decision on whether I choose both or one tomorrow."

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will take the captain’s arm band in the absence of Steven Gerrard and will receive a golden cap before kickoff to commemorate his 100th appearance for the national side.

England are currently on a ten match unbeaten run having secured a World Cup 2014 berth finishing top of Group H, one point ahead of second placed Ukraine. Their counterparts Chile have also sealed a place in the final 32 of the tournament and if they succeed in avoiding a defeat on Friday, the Red ones will take their unbeaten run to ten games.

Chile will however be without their talismanic midfielder Arturo Vidal who is a doubt for the clash at Wembley after picking up a thigh injury during Juventus’ 3-0 triumph over Napoli. Alexis Sanchez who is another of Chile’s players to have earned global recognition has hit out at the England players for being too ‘soft’, the Barcelona man further stated that England are not strong contender for the World Cup and are technically behind the likes of Spain, Germany and Brazil.

“I don’t think England can win the World Cup,” he said.

“They have some very good players but are probably not at the level where they can beat the best."

“It will be very hard for any team outside of South America to win in Brazil, but if two teams have a chance then it is Spain and Germany. Their teams are exceptional.”

Last time the South American side made a trip to London, they produced a memorable performance beating England 2-0 courtesy of a brace from Marcelo Salas and Sanchez is hopeful his team can deliver a similar performance on Friday.

"That game is historic for Chile. It was something amazing what Marcelo did," said the Barcelona man.

"We hope we are able to do that on Friday. Anyone would love to score the winning goal like Salas did that day.
