Emmanuel Adebayor went from hero to villain in Saturday's London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

First, the Togolese international opened the scoring with a well-taken opportunity inside the 10th minute. This must have given the hosts a real scare knowing that pressure to win was high following last weekend's 3-3 draw against Fulham.

Tottenham Hotspur fans sang... but not for long. Emmanuel Adebayor soon betrayed his team with a hurtful tackle on Cazorla. Was the referee's red card justified?

With 10-man down and many more minutes to go, Spurs crumbled under Arsenal's dominance. Mertesacker and Podolski became the first Germans to ever score in a Arsenal-Spurs derby. Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla netted a goal each as Gareth Bale's 71st minute goal hardly meant anything.

Theo Walcott made it 5-2 to inflict a feeling of humiliation upon Spurs' fans. Most especially, Emmanuel Adebayor would be the one wanting to hide after experiencing 18 bizarre minutes on the pitch!
