Arsenal's controversial loss away to Newcastle grabbed the top spot alongside two Liga MX showdown, earning commendable viewership numbers for NBC, Telemundo, and Univision.

The viewership numbers in the USA for soccer matches played from October 30 through November 5 are in, with Arsenal's controversial showdown with Newcastle unsurprisingly topping the list.

The Gunners lost that St. James' Park stadium showdown 1-0, sparking outrage from manager Mikel Arteta towards the level of officiating in the Premier League. Nonetheless, just over 800,000 average viewers tuned in to NBC to catch this game as Anthony Gordan's goal sealed the three points for the Magpies.

The other two slots on the podium went to Liga MX in a week where only weekend fixtures made the cut. In second place was Telemundo's coverage of the showdown between Guadalajara and Cruz Azul, which Chivas won 1-0. Just over 600,000 average viewers — 617,000, to be precise — tuned in to catch this fixture as Yael Padilla's 97th-minute goal sealed the win for the hosts.

The final spot went to Univision thanks to their coverage of Tigres UANL's showdown with San Luis. That tie ended in a two-all draw, with 523,000 average viewers catching the action on TelevisaUnivision's Spanish-language free-to-air network.
